Hi Fiona, Tala is from Odin and Lycan and she looks cute as a button but is a little wildcat with her big half brother! She looks so tiny next to him but she fights with him like a little terrier, all play I hasten to add. We will have to be very careful as she grows as they are from the same Dad! They are very different from each other, each having their own strong traits. She is very loving, openly affectionate and very very vocal whereas Dakotah was the strong silent type, never uttering a sound except to howl when the phone rings. He was a bit more aloof and a bit of a loner, playing away by himself, showing affection only when he felt like it. She is a more picky eater whereas Dakotah sounds just like your boy, a real foodie and would stand on his head if a treat was involved.
Had to laugh at Simba having "selective hearing", don't they all! At 3 months younger than your boy I probably have that stage to come in the near future! He sounds adorable and super gentle. Dakotah has been more openly affectionate since Tala's arrival so I'm hoping she is putting him in touch with his soft side! He accepted everything like collars, leads, vaccinations, carriers cars etc without a fuss while she shouts and rallies against everything! She's so funny. I do have some pics but they are very difficult to catch as they are a blur! I will email what I have since I haven't figured out how to get them up yet!
He does sound adorable. Our boy is going through his play rough stage which it sounds like you managed to avoid! He is very sweet though, just a bit boisterous but I'm sure he will calm down soon. We were amazingly lucky and got the last remaining boy and my mind was made up as soon I knew he was from Odin. Totally fell in love with him when we went to see him and so delighted Liz felt we were suitable owners. I was having another look at your bril album. So cute and fluffy. Dakotah was almost as light as Simba at that young age while the rest of the litter that we saw had quite a lot of black already. But true to Tamaskan nature you never know how the markings are going to turn out, it's fascinating watching them change isn't it? They are fantastic dogs, they just seem to be so happy and waggy all the time! Such enthusiasm for everything. A joy to own. Thanks so much for replying. They are so rare a breed at the moment it's nice to speak to other people who own them. Take care
Sharon
Hi Fiona
Hope you don't mind me leaving a comment but just wanted to say Simba is gorgeous. Who's litter was he from? Our boy is from Odin and Xena born 25.06.09. Not sure how to add a picture album though so well done! |
